Wanting to use already cut strips, if possible, I got sidetracked again by having to sort strips from multiple storage containers in order to determine whether I had enough of a particular strip/squares to complete a block.
Side note: while I had sorted some of the smaller strip widths previously, I had never sorted this size. And because most are jelly-roll width size, I have a lot more of these than I do of the other sizes.
What a lot of wonderful memories I get to go through as I sort them into color families and then refine down to the sets I can use. Also, there are strips and squares that I don’t remember using in quilts I’ve made, so they may have come from donations, and that’s a neat treat as well!
That looks like a lot of fun! Beautiful stacks! If you ever feel the need to get out, come check out our quilting ministry on Thursday mornings at Maple Hill.
Ooh, I may just do that, thank you!
Wonderful! Just text me, I look forward to seeing you! You already know several ladies in the group.
