Sojourn Falls Scarf

I finished my scarf at the end of October and finally blocked it to open up the lace and cables a bit. The photos are pre-trimming. I just laid it out on the blocking boards, but I didn’t pin it or aggressively stretch it out.

I got on a tear to finish it, and focused on doing that most of September and October, in between working on the lapghans. It is pretty weighty with the beads, but I really like it. I’m glad I finally found a pattern that worked with the yarn that I originally bought to do a different scarf/shawl/wrap, but the original pattern I chose just wasn’t working with the yarn, which though it is a tonal tended to look stripey. I still want to try that original pattern again someday, with a more appropriate yarn and a little more experience under my belt.
