When I finished the Tau cardigan, I had almost a full skein of yarn left over, so I thought I’d make a fingering-weight hat. I’d been noticing several knitters making the Musselburgh hat by Ysolde Teague, so I thought I’d give it a try.
I used up almost every inch of yarn that I had left, and it fits nicely with a brim, so quadruple the warmth around the ears next winter!
I think I’ll make another. It’s great for knitting in places where you don’t want to have to count for a pattern (once you get past the initial increases). The color is a great neutral to go with anything too, so bonus!
