Wait, what happened to parts 1 and 2, you ask? Well, I finished part one, very slowly, over the past several months. It has been a struggle, but once I did it, I put one set of units on the design wall and tucked the others away in the project box. I didn’t take a photo, and figured this would just be a catch-up post.
Oh, and about that part 2? Yeah, I really do not like the border at all. I’ve glanced at several pictures of finished quilts, and I still don’t like any version I’ve seen with that border. And I don’t feel like my colors/shades will look good with it. So I’m skipping part 2, which is all about that border. I’ll figure something else out for my quilt.
So this is part 3 – a little over half have been squared up and trimmed, and the ones laid out are the ones which are left to trim before I put them in the bag and start on part 4 – which likely won’t happen for several weeks. I really want to concentrate on the Log Cabin quilt when I sew.
Here are the parts of a block so far on my design wall.
Looking good, Melissa!
Thank you!
