Yep! This makes the third quilt I’m working on with tiny pieces and strips, some of which finish at ½ inch.
I was browsing through my facebook quilting groups (which is just about the only reason I re-joined facebook), when I saw someone’s quilt-in-progress. I couldn’t believe how much it looked like a granny square afghan. The designer of the quilt popped up in the comments, and told everyone the pattern name and where they could find it – Aunt Joe’s Afghan quilt. Well, I couldn’t resist. More combinations of my favorite things! And I couldn’t just let it sit there – I had to make a test block. And I love it! I can’t wait to make more. I’m using Onyx Grunge, of which I had some already, and just had to get a little more (thank you Whittles Fabrics!). This one will be so cool (or warm). And it’s more use of scraps, which I love so much.
