Unity bound

We had to wait for a decent day to get a photo. It has been dreary, cold, and raining a lot over the past few weeks. But yesterday was a great day to get a photo of my finally finished Unity quilt. It wasn’t the warmest, but it was at least dry and not too sunny nor cloudy.

The backing is another sateen 108″ wide from my quilter’s selection of fabrics. I think it is a perfect complement. I had plenty left over to use it as the binding fabric too, which was much better than what I was originally thinking of using.

If I could just focus on some existing quilts instead of starting a bunch of new ones, I might be able to whittle down the list of WIPs a little more this year. Once I bind Straits of Mackinac, I can get back to working on a few more project bags and focus on about 5-6 quilts that should be fairly straightforward piecing. If we have a sit n sew day this Thursday, that should also help!

  1. Unity Bound is a lovely quilt. I love your choice of colors. The soft colors makes it feel comforting.
