I don’t know why I find hand sewing the binding to a quilt so tedious, but apparently I do. So I tend to put it off, and off, and off, especially if I don’t have a deadline.
Well, I still don’t have a deadline, but I do have a need to get this quilt off of my ironing board. And if I can, I’m going to resolve to sew my bindings all by machine in the future. Usually, if I do this, I attach them to the front by machine and sew them down to the back by hand.
I just need to start sewing to the back by machine from now on so I can finish it on the front, also by machine. And if I clip a few points off of the blocks by doing this, then so be it.
This thing has been sitting there for months and it is long overdue to be finished.
