Cats and cross stitch

Over the years I’ve stitched many cat cross stitch designs. Big cats, little cats, some more fanciful, and some almost life-like.

In November 2020, I became aware that one of my favorite designers from a few years ago, Pamela Kellogg of Kitty and Me Designs, had designed some new fanciful cat (and other) patterns. I was totally smitten with several, and immediately chose a couple that I wanted to stitch.

Colorful Cats is one of her newer lines of charts (she also has Colorful Owls, and I purchased one of those charts to stitch as well), and I just loved the Bumblebee design. I immediately found a piece of fabric in stash, pulled the DMC threads it requires, and began stitching. I decided to start in the middle of this chart, where there is a lot of white. Then I started WIPGO in 2021, and before this project’s turn, I abandoned the whole WIPGO process.

Nevertheless, I did make some progress. So this is where I’ll be beginning when Bumblebee is called this year for WIPGO.
