Like many others who have done Bonnie’s mysteries before, I pretty much guessed what this clue would be – half square triangles!
Bonnie usually starts out easy and small, and this clue was in keeping with her easing us in to the mystery. I decided to pull out my strip bins first and see how far I could get with pieces that were already the size needed for this clue. I made it about halfway before having to dive into my pink fat quarters. I had more than enough light neutral strips cut this size from Straits of Mackinac (I had cut lots of strips in many sizes so I wouldn’t really have to cut any more during the retreat).
And yes, the Straits of Mackinac top is finished – I just need to unfold it and take a photo. I’ll be taking it to my quilter after the first of the year.
This is so yummy!
Thanks! I don’t usually consider myself a “pink” person, but I really like these.
