I started Bonnie Hunter’s Easy Breezy quilt as a leaders/enders project last year when she announced it, but my progress on it has been slow. I think part of that is because I used up a lot of 2-inch scraps when I made Larry’s log cabin quilt, so I don’t have as many long pieces of 2-inch strips, especially the neutrals. So every once in a while, I cut out some more pieces and have some more blocks that I can put together.
I don’t have a planned recipient for this quilt, and I’m not sure how exactly I’m going to put it together or how big it will be. I may do what Bonnie did, with longer 2-inch sashing between each piece, but right now I’m not 100% sure. I almost want to do a deeper neutral color there. Some of the diagonal lines will stronger than others because of the wide variety of of fabric values I’ve used in the blocks, so I’m really not sure of much at this point. I just realized that I’d never shared a photo of any blocks, even though it’s on my current Works-in-Progress list.
So each block is 6″x6″?
Yes! I need to count how many I have so far – I think it is more than 50, but less than 75.
