The issue I had with this clue was that I wanted each of the loops to be the same size, so I made sure not to wrap the loops loosely when making the first pass for the stitch. When I began working on the second pass, it was extremely difficult to get those loops from the cord of the circular needles back up on the needles (which are wider in circumference than the cord). I had to work a tiny bit at a time, but I finally finished it. I also added an extra repeat of stockinette stitching because I wanted it to look really “finished”. I’ve seen some others that look rather messy because these crossed stitches go right into the next section.
And speaking of the next section, I am not at all feeling Clue 4, section 12 (the border). I shall be going off script from here and doing my own border. Several others have done the same, and I may use those as inspiration. I’m actually thinking of doing something similar to the Exploration Station’s border.
