I’ve gotten approximately one-third of the interior of the Straits of Mackinac quilt pieced. Luke decided to pose for the photo.
I started to piece a second third (two rows of blocks together with two rows of sashing), and got nearly to the end when I realized I had only actually sewed almost one tiny patch of one unit. Seriously, I sewed nearly an entire row without bobbin thread. With many times as I’ve done that over the years, you’d think I would learn to check every so often. Alas… so, this was the progress for Sunday afternoon.
Such a wonderful quilt! Just fantastically wonderful. Really evocative of the straits. And, love Luke the Cat.
Thank you! And Luke thanks you too. 🙂
