When I showed off my Dream wallhanging quilt top to a couple of friends recently, they asked me if it was finished. I told them that the design didn’t have anything else, but we all agreed that it needed something more – something to finish it (and not just quilting and binding).
So I came home and pulled out my two little stash containers of brown and tan fabrics. I immediately saw the multicolored floral print, and was amazed to realize that it had most of the colors that were in the design. It was a little too busy to put right next to the design, so I dug a little deeper and found a nearly black brown print that I had enough to use for both an inner border and the binding.
Sometimes it takes friends to see the things you don’t. They help you make it better!
