I’ve had this on my wish list for a while now, and after the final scene in Wednesday night’s episode of The Chosen (season 2, episode 7), I decided it was the perfect time to start it.
The design is The Lord’s Prayer by Sandy Orton. I bought the PDF chart from Kooler Design Studio, and I’m so glad I did – many of the charts on their site are ones that were previously in Better Homes and Gardens Cross Stitch and Country Crafts magazine. My eyesight even then had trouble with some of the very detailed designs like this, and so it’s a blessing to be able to enlarge the chart to see the symbols clearly.
I didn’t have a white fabric in my stash, so I used a light grey Jobelan, 28 count that I’ve had in my stash for several years. I had a choice of that and a pale pink, and I thought that the light grey would give a better contrast for the colors. I pulled all of the colors needed from stash (DMC), and I should only need to get an extra skein of one color.
