Seraphina round 10

It’s so interesting to watch a doily develop. Just five more rounds, and it already looks much different from the beginning.

The doilies I’ve done up until now have had many combinations of single, double, treble, and double treble crochets. I believe this is the first doily I’ve encountered with things like front post and back post stitches. It’s challenging, because I usually don’t care to make those stitches. But it’s also very beautiful because of the dimension it adds.

Also, as I work with the Clover Amour crochet hooks, I’m becoming more of a fan of the hybrid style. They seem to size the stitch pretty well, and they’re not too difficult to use.

  1. So pretty! I love doilies! I have a ton that my Grandmother Hale made. She was so good at it.

    1. Thanks! I love them too, even though we didn’t have a lot around the house. I have a neat pansy one that one of my grandmothers or great aunts made. And I made one with shamrocks, love it! 😉
