In today’s sewing lesson we learned how to use the seam ripper, LOL. Actually, there probably isn’t a sewing day that goes by for me without using a seam ripper.
Actually, it wasn’t too bad – I read the directions several times – and misinterpreted what they were saying. Sigh. It seems the weekend for fixing mistakes. But all’s well that ends well, and we’re both really happy with our new aprons. Now we’re looking to figure out what we’re going to tackle next, because my friend has enjoyed our sewing days (as I have!), and wants to continue to gain experience, hone her skills, and make some more things. Maybe a table runner or centerpiece? Maybe a skirt? I sent her home with some quilt books to browse through, and suggested checking Pinterest, etc. for ideas too.
